The village of Nantyglo stands at the head of the Ebbw Fach valley, amid a rugged landscape of typically Welsh countryside. The village is well served with a range of shops, traditional pubs and a nearby old fashioned cinema. The farm includes the Roundhouse Towers which are within the walled grounds and steeped in history relating to the iron works and industrial unrest. Enthusiastic golfers can tee off at the highest tee in Great Britain at the West Monmouthshire Golf Club. Families can explore the Brecon Beacons with many attractions that include; The Blaenavon Heritage Railway and Iron Works, Waterfall Country and the National Showcaves Centre for Wales. You can explore the mountains by foot, bike or horseback, or simply take in the peaceful canal and reservoirs. The larger of the three cottages within the restored terrace and once a former barn, step in off the terrace and back in time. The ground floor offers an open plan living space finished with a contemporary twist enhancing the exposed stone work and original iron work supports that cleverly divide the space. Perfect for small families or friends getting together, there's space to relax with a comfortable sofa and armchair around a wall mounted TV, and a dining table and chairs for four with mood lighting. The chef of your group will appreciate the well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher. And when the day is done, climb the solid wooden staircase to the landing where you will find two bedrooms. A double with dual aspect views across the surrounding countryside and a twin room also enjoying stunning views. There is a shower room with rainwater shower and WC. The landing space offers further storage and an armchair where you can hide away, read or just enjoy the views. You can access the rear of the cottage via the living space, the garden offers an open aspect across the back of the terrace where you can relax on one of the comfortable benches. There is a further enclosed space to the side which is perfect for dogs. There is on site parking for cars and storage is available for bikes or canoes. Electric vehicle charging is available on site. This is at an extra charge paid directly to the owner.
