Cottage in Kent, Whitstable

Kent. Sleeps up to 6

Whitstable is a world away from what we have come to expect from a British seaside town. There are no amusement arcades here, and no donkeys on the beach, but instead a fantastic range of independent boutiques, highly regarded restaurants, oyster bars, quiet pubs, and quirky galleries. The shingle beach is a pleasant space to relax and play, whilst the town is also a favourite choice for water sports enthusiasts where visitors can take tuition in stand up paddleboarding, kite surfing, or sailing. This is a truly special place to stay, and it is no wonder that visitors choose to come back year after year. The front door of this beautiful property opens onto the hallway and a smart little snug that can be configured to accommodate a 7th guest. Beyond this, the main comfortably furnished living room features a warming wood burner, a smart TV with Netflix, blu ray DVD, CD player and Sonos system for guests to enjoy, along with a selection of books and DVDs. The dining room is an equally handsome room and offers a large dining table, beyond which doors lead out onto a decked terrace and garden, allowing guests to open up this space in the warmer months. One step from the dining room leads up to the well fitted galley style kitchen, where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A washer/dryer is located in a separate utility cupboard under the stairs. Two of the property s bedrooms are located on the first floor: a super king size room, which can be set up as a twin room thanks to the zip and link beds; and a pleasant double room. There is also a shower room with WC on this floor. Stairs lead to the second floor where there is a pretty twin room which has built in single beds, next to which there is a bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. Please note that there are sloping ceilings on the second floor, and therefore some reduced head height. Doors from the dining room lead out to the sunny decked terrace where guests will find garden furniture and a BBQ. This area leads on to a long narrow garden with mature planting which includes a wild flower meadow (at its best in May June) and a second terrace area which is a lovely place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Roadside parking is available outside on the street together with local public car parks.
