With ample space for 20 guests, this wonderful property is perfect for groups exploring the western edge of the glorious Brecon Beacons National Park. Situated in the Upper Swansea Valley, Ystradgynlais (3 miles) has some welcoming places to eat and drink. Within easy reach is the beautiful country park of Craig y Nos (9.5 miles) with some 40 acres to explore. Local attractions include Henrhyd Falls (9 miles), the National Showcaves Centre for Wales at Dan yr Ogof (10 miles), Newton House in the beautiful Dinefwr Estate (18 miles) and the magisterial ruins of Carreg Cennen Castle (15 miles). Due to the lack of light pollution, the Brecon Beacons is a fantastic area for stargazing, with daytime activities including horse riding, fishing and golf. Retaining many original features including stone walls and exposed ceiling beams throughout, this imaginatively updated property comprises a bright and attractive farmhouse and a stunningly updated barn. Oak beams adorn the ceiling of the lounge where you will find plenty of comfortable seating, TV, DVD and a wood burner set in a large inglenook fireplace, making this an ideal space to relax in at the end of a wonderful day. The light and welcoming kitchen is equipped with everything you may need during your stay including a double oven, single oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, two fridges, freezer, plenty of storage space and a charming breakfast table. The dining room has a beamed ceiling and feature fireplace, as well as plenty of space for you to enjoy a special celebratory meal. There s also a utility room complete with a tumble dryer. The first of the property s eight cosy and relaxing bedrooms can be found on the ground floor of the Farmhouse: a pretty, double room which is located next to a large bathroom complete with bath, shower and WC. Going upstairs, there are three further bedrooms: one twin room and a pair of family rooms, each with a double and a single bed plus cot. One of the family rooms has an en suite WC, and there s also a handy shower room on this floor complete with shower and WC. A door in the dining room connects the main farmhouse with the former barn where you will find the remaining four bedrooms. On the ground floor, there s a twin room and a family room with a double and a single bed. Upstairs you will find the final twin room and the last of the family rooms with a double and single bed. This floor also features a stylish bathroom complete with bath and WC. Please note some bedrooms have low sloping ceilings. Heading outside, the house is set within half an acre of land with a large garden, ample parking space and several picnic benches. Surrounded by lush woodland, there s plenty of space for children to play and for you to sit back and listen to the birdsong. A mountain stream runs past one side of the property, with a small river flowing past the back (fenced off for children).
