Cottage in The Highlands, Onich

Perthshire. Sleeps up to 6

The small highland croft that this pretty bungalow sits proudly atop sweeps down to the shores of Loch Linnhe, giving the property staggering views across glassy water as far as the Isle of Mull. Sandwiched between historical Glencoe and the slopes of Ben Nevis, and just 8 miles from the endless outdoor pursuits and facilities of Fort William, the property is in the perfect location for a true Scottish adventure. Whether you're hiking through rugged hills, hurtling down mountain bike trails or meandering along the shoreline of the loch, you're sure to be inspired by the scenery that surrounds you. The property is all on one level, comprising spacious and stylishly updated rooms with cheerful splashes of colour throughout. Hang coats and boots by the door before making your way through to the cosy lounge, beautifully styled with an ornamental fireplace and large TV. Sink into deep sofas and let your troubles melt away. The open plan kitchen/dining room is well lit and has French doors that lead you out onto the decking for al fresco feasts. A cloakroom with a WC also has a door to the patio, so muddy pups can dry off in here before coming inside. When the night draws in, rest your heads in either the master king size bedroom or one of two comfortable twin rooms. The contemporary family bathroom has a bath as well as a shower. Outside on the decked patio, indulge in a luxurious soak in the hot tub and drink in the views while the kids run around in the large grassed garden. Enjoy sunny lunches or a sunset dinner at the table out here, or pack up a picnic and wander a few hundred metres down the side of a field to the loch, for a waterside feast. There is also ample parking at the front of the property, on the driveway.
