Located in the heart of Melrose with its historic 12th century Abbey, world famous rugby 7s and Borders Book festival to enjoy. Melrose has an excellent range of boutique shops, quality eateries, friendly inns and art galleries. The immediate area is perfect for walking and biking with the Eildon hills, Southern Upland Way and nearby Glentress Forest, or enjoy Salmon and Trout fishing on the bonnie river Tweed. Take a stroll through the beautiful grounds of Abbotsford, home of Sir Walter Scott, or visit Old Gala House and Thirlestane Castle. Galashiels is close at hand with its excellent shopping and leisure facilities including swimming pool, gyms and cinema. Or take a short train journey from Tweedbank station to the city of Edinburgh. Step inside this elegant townhouse filled with its wonderful period features into the large vestibule through to the spacious grand entrance hall, including a perfect place to store all your outdoor clothing. Head up the beautiful period staircase to the first floor, where you are first met with the spacious beautifully decorated dining room. Enjoy family meals together around the large dining table and afterwards challenge your guests to a game of pool, or simply relax and use the Bluetooth speaker to listen to your favourite music. Next is the light and bright comfortable lounge with large Smart TV to watch your favourite shows and relax with the cosy wood burner, perfect for those colder evenings. Next door is the stylish kitchen, ideal to cook up a storm on the electric range oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/ freezer with water dispenser, dishwasher and washing machine. When it's time for bed there is a lovely twin bedroom and completing the first floor is the stylish bathroom with lovely roll top bath and WC. Heading up the next staircase to the second floor you will find four individually beautiful decorated bedrooms. Completing the accommodation is another lovely king size bedroom. Venturing outside to the fully enclosed patio with hot tub which is the perfect place to enjoy evening star gazing perhaps with a nice glass of wine, good local beer or a wee dram. There is also a private garage next to the house for enclosed off road parking for 1 car. There is on street parking subject to availability with multiple car parks within a short walk from the property.
