The cottage is nestled in a peaceful position in the heart of the former Royal Burgh of Lauder. Here you ll find the magnificent Thirlestane Castle that hosts an array of fantastic events throughout the year including open air theatre shows, art exhibitions, a vintage festival of motoring perfect for classic car enthusiasts, and The Tour de Lauder. The town boasts an excellent range of independent and bespoke shops, art galleries, award winning eateries, friendly inns and a lovely golf course. The immediate area is a walkers and bikers paradise with direct routes on the Southern Upland Way and the Lammermuir Hills to explore. Fishermen will be delighted with the nearby River Leader and River Tweed which are renowned for their excellent salmon and trout fishing. Step inside this delightful period cottage from the enclosed courtyard into the hall, where you can kick off your shoes and hang up your outdoor clothing.
