Cottage in Isle of Wight, Ningwood

Isle of Wight. Sleeps up to 8

Located a few miles inland, the village of Shalfleet is a quiet haven in the West Wight countryside. There is a welcoming pub in the village, as well as a handy village store, and a farm shop offering fresh local produce. Four miles to the west of the village, the town of Yarmouth has a bustling marina and a choice of places to eat, while a little further around the coast, the beaches at Colwell Bay and Totland offer sandy beaches and views across to the mainland. Other attractions in the area include Tapnell Farm Park, Alum Bay, and Calbourne Water Mill. Formerly two cottages, this property has been renovated to create a spacious holiday retreat for up to nine guests. On arrival, guests will find the dual aspect lounge where there is a Sky TV with Netflix, DVD player, several sofas, and a warming open fire. In the kitchen/diner, meanwhile, a spacious dining area with a cosy wood burner, is the perfect place to enjoy leisurely meals, whilst an open doorway leads through to the kitchen with its electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and a walk in larder. The washer/dryer can be found in a separate utility area where there is also an additional sink. Doors from the dining area open onto the cottage s sunny conservatory, where two comfortable sofas allow guests to enjoy the views over the garden, perhaps with a good book or a drink in hand. One of the property s bedrooms, a charming twin room, is also located on the ground floor, as is a cloakroom with WC. Taking the stairs to the first floor, guests will come to the remaining three bedrooms, starting with the master bedroom suite, a delightful double room offering its own Smart TV, an en suite shower room with shower and WC, and a dressing room which is spacious enough to be able to fit a cot or an extra bed for a child. The second bedroom on this floor is another double which also has an en suite shower and WC, whilst the third is a generously sized twin room. The main bathroom is a stylish contemporary room which offers a bath, separate shower, and WC. Outside, the property boasts an impressively sized enclosed garden which offers a spacious lawn, and a patio seating area with garden furniture. Younger guests will be delighted to find that they are well catered for too, as there is a set of swings and a large trampoline for them to enjoy. The drive to the front of the property has plenty of space to park up to four cars and there is an electric car charging socket for use, please check compatibility. There is a public house at the end of the road which serves food and a regular bus service to Newport or Alum Bay is within a few minutes walk.
