Margaret Street Cottage, Black Isle

Perthshire. Sleeps up to 5

Enjoy a charming stay on the Black Isle when you book a break in Margaret Street Cottage in the fishing village of Avoch. This is a superb setting for a Scottish escape set on the shores of the Cromarty and Moray Firths, one of the best places in Europe to spot bottlenose dolphins. This cottage offers the best of both worlds with its traditional appeal as well as modern amenities.

Once you step into the cottage, a traditional entrance hallway soon leads to the stylish living spaces of the property. In the lounge you’ll find a three-piece furniture suite, a wood-burning stove to add a warming ambience, a flatscreen TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player, and a range of DVDs, books, and games to pick from.

The dining kitchen offers convenient modern amenities including an electric cooker, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, and all the kitchenware you’ll need. There’s plenty of room to sit down for meals together at the dining table which seats six.

Also on the ground floor is a modernised bathroom with an electric shower over the bath, a sink, a WC, and a heated towel rail. There’s also a utility cupboard under the stairs with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Head upstairs and you’ll find the property’s two bedrooms, one a double bedroom and the other a twin. Both bedrooms have their own bedside cabinets with lamps, as well as clothes storage units. In the twin room, in addition to two single beds there is also a folding bed suited to a small child.

Margaret Street Cottage has its own mature private garden perfect for sitting out in nice weather, with a patio area including an outdoor table and chairs.

This property is fantastically located in its quaint village setting close to the Moray Firth and Cromarty Firth, and also makes a great home base for setting out to explore the rest of the Black Isle peninsula.
