Get acquainted with this delightful area as you embark on a scenic stroll down to the village of Derrybeg or enjoy a day exploring Machaire Chlochair Beach, spotting the mesmerising ruins of Cara Na Mara Wreck aka Bád Eddie. You can continue on to the quaint fishing village of Bunbeg from where you can take a boat trip to the local Gola Island or Tory Island. Be sure to include a visit to The New Whiskey Distillery and Leo’s Tavern, Crolly, a 20 min drive away, home of the famous Clannad group and Eyna. Visit the picturesque fishing village of Burtonport where you can take part in some exciting watersports out on the sea, or take the ferry across to Arranmore Island and hike Cnoc an Iolair - the Hill of the Eagle, before taking the iconic steps down to Arranmore Lighthouse. Venture further inland to the magnificent Glenveagh National Park, where you can visit the Castle and the Visitor’s Centre and admire awe-inspiring views of the incredible Irish countryside as you set about on an exhilarating cycle or hike through the hills.
