Nearby Bethesda has a good selection of pubs, shops, cafés and takeaways, along with attractions like Penrhyn Quarry Hospital and Zip World Penrhyn Quarry. Head into the national park to enjoy hiking around Aber Falls nature preserve, as well as Coedydd Aber National Nature Reserve and challenge yourself to a climb up Carnedd Llewelyn, while there are ample other opportunities to walk, cycle, horse ride and nature spot, with an incredible scenic backdrop. The city of Bangor is within easy reach, home of the Menai Strait and Menai Suspension Bridge, as well as National Trust-owned Penrhyn Castle, while the closest beach of Llanfairfechan offers a fun family day out in the sunshine.
