Bring your own boat or craft as the lodge has its own jetty, an angler's delight! The property is centrally heated throughout and offers a boot room entrance, where there is ample storage for shoes, coats and storage, before you head into the open-plan kitchen/diner. Catering to your culinary needs, this kitchen plays host to all of the essentials including an gas oven, hob, fridge, freezer, Nespresso machine, dishwasher and washing machine for convenience, as well as additional extras such a blender, mixer and more, a baker's dream! As the evening draws to a close, make your way into the sitting room where on those chilly winter evenings you can turn on the fire and unwind with a good book in hand, or perhaps with a glass of deserved wine. Ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement for all parties, there are three well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, and two twin bedrooms sharing the family bathroom, each one complete with dressing table and walk-in wardrobe with integrated storage for your belongings. To the outside, a wrap-around veranda offers a panoramic view of the lake with alternative space for alfresco dining and barbecue during the summer months, before dipping into your own hot tub for a moment of relaxation. If you don’t fancy cooking for the evening, there is an onsite restaurant and bar, while further afield lie the villages of Carnforth and Milnthorpe with a number of pubs and restaurants ranging from Italian, Indian and fish and chip shops; in addition there are a number of supermarkets and shops for picking up any essentials. To keep you busy whilst here, be sure to head to Morecambe Bay which is a beautiful natural landscape, where you can unearth your outdoor adventure, or enjoy fish and chips on the pier, watching the sunset. Alternatively, walk across the headlands of The Bay, where sweeping views towards the Lake District and the Bowland Fells can be enjoyed. The Lake District is an area famous for walking, but other activities such as parachuting, windsurfing, mountain biking, horse-riding and kitesurfing can be enjoyed. In Kendal, the Lakeland Climbing Centre has the tallest indoor climbing wall in England! For a taste of history, enjoy a scenic drive to Arnside and Silverdale, home to a number of historical landmarks and a plethora of walks amidst an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Catch the train across to Grange-over-sands, and admire the Lido which has been there since Victorian times. If you are feeling adventurous you could spend the day at the seaside resort of Blackpool with its famous pleasure beach and the Sandcastles indoor water park. In the nearby historic city of Lancaster, you will find a castle, ancient city walls and a range of quirky shops to explore. Samhchair Lodge makes a wonderful getaway for an adventure with the whole family, or just a peaceful, tranquil escape.
