This bright and airy detached bungalow is centrally situated on the main N15 road, leading from Derry to Sligo. The house has been decorated, by the owners who live next door, with care and attention in a contemporary style with the main focus being the comfort and happiness of guests. The property has been designed to be wheelchair accessible throughout, inside and outside.
Anna-Ra is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way and within walking distance to the ‘Twin Towns’ of Ballybofey and Stranorlar, divided by the famous River Finn, renowned for its salmon fishing. Here you can walk along the riverbank or through the beautiful and historic Drumboe Woods.
Across the road from the house is the Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club with a clubhouse. It is set in mature parkland, with tree-lined fairways and picturesque views of the Donegal Mountains, upon the beautiful Lough Allen. For sport enthusiasts, there is an athletic centre close by comprising a 26m² swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, all available to non-members. There are also astro turfs, several football and rugby fields, a 1500m jogging trail, a full size, tartan track with high jump and long jump areas, a restaurant and a bar. You will also find many walking, cycling and hiking routes in this area. The Balor Arts Centre in nearby Ballybofey hosts plays and entertainment on most nights. You will find plenty of pubs and fine dining restaurants in the neighbouring large towns of Letterkenny and Donegal Town.
County Donegal has the longest coastline in Ireland at 1,235km (772 miles) so you are never too far from the sea. It is 30 mile drive to Murvagh, Rossnowlagh and Bundoran, popular for surfing. It is a 48 mile scenic drive to Sliabh Liag, the highest accessible sea cliffs in Europe. Glenveagh National Park, Mount Errigal and the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh are all within an hour’s drive. Beach 25 miles. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.. Approximate distance to Donegal airport is 62 km.
