A quiet and sleepy little village for most of the year, Caherdaniel springs to life in the summer months. Derrynane House and gardens and Derrynane beach are just 1½ miles from the house. The Kerry Way trail – which meanders through woods and glades, and offers incredible coastal views - is at your door step. Enjoy traditional music sessions in the nearby bar which also serves good food.

Offering beautiful sea views, Carra Gabhan is a bright and airy house, and makes a wonderful base to discover all the hidden gems of this incredibly scenic part of Kerry.

The glorious scenery can be enjoyed from land and sea. Why not try your hand at kayaking or body boarding in Derrynane Harbour, or take a boat trip where you will more than likely encounter dolphins. All these activities are available locally, along with opportunities for horse riding, fishing and star gazing (this is a Dark Sky Reserve area). Take a day trip to the beautiful Dingle Peninsula or to the lakes and mountains of Killarney National Park. Beach ½ mile. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.. Approximate distance to Kerry airport is 83 km.
