Sea View is a detached cottage which sits in a stunning position on the Sheep’s Head Peninsula near Bantry in West Cork. From its location on this tranquil stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way, there are spectacular views across Bantry Bay to the Beara Peninsula. The living room and kitchen/dining area open onto an enclosed patio where you can sit and enjoy an amazing sunset. Directly across the bay is Hungry Hill which was the background setting for Daphne du Maurier’s novel of that name. The lawned garden also has a babbling mountain stream running through it which has an enclosed patio alongside.

Some features of the high standard finish of the cottage include solid cherrywood floors, a vaulted ceiling in the living room and two spacious en-suites.

The beautiful Sheep’s Head Peninsula lies between Bantry and Dunmanus Bays and has the accolade of a European Destination of Excellence award. There are excellent linear and loop walks to suit all abilities, with the long distance Sheep’s Head Way included among the best in Ireland. Cycle routes, pony trekking, sailing, kayaking and shore fishing are other options for an active holiday. From your location 12 miles from Bantry and 3 miles from the village of Kilcrohane, you will have many opportunities for day trips. Bantry House and Gardens, Glengarriff and Garnish Island, Gougane Barra Forest Park, Mizen Head – Ireland’s most south-westerly point, and trips to off-shore islands from the pretty coastal villages are some of the numerous possibilities. You will also find some great local arts and crafts and artisan food products on your travels. There is shore access ¼ mile away. Beach 5½ miles. Shop and pub 3 miles, restaurant 12 miles.. Approximate distance to Cork airport is 108 km.
