Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle and toilet.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . Small yard with sitting-out area. On road parking. No smoking. . Turnstone is a comfortable, mid-terraced holiday home just a short stroll from the centre of this friendly fishing town, which has a working harbour, marina and nearby beach. Wander around and discover some lovely little restaurants and eating places, as well an award-winning ice cream shop and two fish and chip shops by the harbour. The small pod-style shopping area has proved popular with both visitors and locals, and lies next to the busy Sunday market and lobster hatchery. Boat trips are available from here to Coquet Island to see the RSPB bird sanctuary.
The historic village of Warkworth is 2 miles along the coast with its hillside castle, pubs, bespoke shops and pretty riverside walks. Many locals love to walk from Amble to Warkworth and admire the river view and castle on the way. A few miles further on lies the ducal town of Alnwick, with its famous castle featured in the Harry Potter films and Downton Abbey TV series. The water gardens with its spectacular grand cascade and the world’s largest treehouse restaurant should not be missed.
Amble is on the edge of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Heritage coastline with some of the most unspoilt beaches and picturesque coastline in England, along with plenty of footpaths and cycle paths. Amble makes a great location for exploring the whole of this unspoilt county, and has all the amenities you need on your doorstep, so you can leave your car behind and enjoy an evening out at one of the local eateries. Beach ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 800 yards.
