Hidden away in the tranquil village of Muker and occupying an elevated position in the village, guests will find fabulous views of the surrounding countryside from every window.
Lovingly renovated and in keeping with a traditional Yorkshire Dales cottage, Harriet’s Cottage offers guests a super base from which to enjoy exploring the local area. Perfect for guests wanting to leave the car behind. A short walk away, guests will be able to find the excellent local pub which offers great quality food and drink as well as a small shop offering groceries and local produce. There is also a craft shop with a small cafe and the famous Muker Wool Shop.
Perfect for guests wanting to enjoy a walking or cycling holiday, there are numerous established footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead straight from the village and out into the heart of beautiful Swaledale, Wensleydale and Arkengarthdale, through some of the popular villages and towns nearby which include Gunnerside, Hawes, Keld, Thwaite, Low Row, Fremington and Reeth which all lie within a ten mile radius. There are many excellent local pubs, restaurants and country inns which provide the perfect resting place before, during or after a long walk or cycle. For guests wishing to hire a bike there is a bike hire centre in nearby Fremington. A little further afield but still within easy driving distance and perfect for guests of all ages, there are many popular attractions to visit including Castle Bolton, Swaledale Folk Museum, Theakston’s Brewery, Wensleydale Creamery and The Forbidden Corner. A little further still but just twenty miles away, guests really must take the opportunity to visit the Georgian town of Richmond or the Yorkshire town of Leyburn which offer many places to visit including Richmond Castle, the Georgian Theatre Royal and Leyburn Chocolate Shop.

Harriet’s Cottage offers quality accommodation throughout and is perfect for small families or couples, and, if booked with Lilac Cottage (CC211235), friends who wish to share a holiday.
On the ground floor, the traditional stone flagged flooring leads through into a delightful lounge which is cosy and relaxing at any time of year. The kitchen diner is well equipped with good quality appliances and a dining table and chairs. On the first floor there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which are both very well presented and offer guests some of the most fabulous views across the Fells.
To the front of the cottage is a small garden with a seating area where guests will be able to relax and enjoy uninterrupted views of the fells overlooking the village and is the perfect place to unwind after an active day out.

Harriet’s Cottage can be booked together with Lilac Cottage (CC211235) to accommodate up to six guests.
