Please note: The property has a water supply from a spring and there is a river in the grounds.. Located in the Torridge Valley, just outside the village of Beaford, this really is an unspoilt part of Devon. Surrounded by well tendered gardens, guests also have access across the surrounding land down to the privately owned 2 miles of river bank along the River Torridge.
Despite its quiet location, the cottage is ideally located for those wanting to get out and explore the charming north Devon coast and countryside. There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Sandymouth. Enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse, Hartland Quay and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. If gardens are of interest, you will find the RHS gardens at nearby Rosemoor a delight, and there are numerous National Trust properties in the surrounding area to enjoy. The town of Great Torrington lies close by, where you will find the Dartington Crystal Factory and the Civil War museum. At Bideford’s quay you can book a trip to Lundy Island and slightly further afield there is the Dartmoor National Park. Beach lovers will delight in the wide sandy beaches, the nearest is at Westward Ho! The Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep will fascinate the younger ones. There are several local pubs within a short driving distance. Salmon and trout fishing can be organised on the River Torridge via direct prior arrangement with the owner. Shop 5 miles, pub 1½ miles, restaurant 3½ miles.
