This property offers sumptuous accommodation within extensive grounds situated in The Carse of Gowrie which runs from the north bank of the River Tay up to the northern slopes of the Braes of the Carse, between Perth and Dundee, noted for its fruit growing, especially raspberries and strawberries. The house is furnished and equipped and make excellent holiday accommodation for groups and families of all ages. Guests have use of a tennis court and play area within the spacious shared gardens, as well as a large shared external games room with children’s bikes, full-size pool table, table football and ample room for badminton or tennis. The very convenient location offers plenty of opportunities to explore the surroundings; the wooded hill slopes of the Braes are criss-crossed with little roads winding up to the villages of the carse. Perth and Dundee are both easily reached as are St Andrews, Carnoustie and Glasgow. Dundee has plenty of shopping and other excellent leisure facilities including Discovery Point, a five star visitor attraction chronicling Captain Scott’s journey to the Antarctic on the research ship ’Discovery’. Other interesting days out could include hill walking in one of the five Angus Glens with their stunning hill and loch scenery, approx 1 hour’s drive from the house, golfing at one of the many superb courses in the area, horse riding, fishing and sailing. Shops, pubs and restaurants 4 miles.
Rose Cottage can be booked together with Benvie Farmhouse (19318), Lily Cottage (19320) and Philip’s Cottage (24522) to accommodate up to 25 guests.
