Seaside Escape is a very well presented, end of terrace holiday home which offers lovely accommodation and is centrally located close to local shops. It is just a 2-minute walk to the beautiful beach and seafront of Sandown Bay, with its miles of golden sand. Sandown is a truly traditional beach resort and is the ideal location for any family holiday. There is a pier with amusements, children’s play areas, pitch and putt, the Isle of Wight Zoo and Dinosaur Isle at the northern end of the esplanade towards Yaverland and Culver Cliff. Sandown’s golf course is also close by. Nearby attractions include The Needles, with chair lift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Historic places of attraction include the 17th-century Calbourne Water Mill, Carisbrooke Castle, Tennyson’s home Farringford, and Osborne House and Gardens. Historic Yarmouth is worthy of a visit and the island can be easily explored from the open-top buses that stop regularly at various collection points across the whole island. Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK is nearby, and further island attractions include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Isle of Wight Pearl, Godshill Model Village and a donkey sanctuary.
