This 19th century former estate worker’s cottage has been lovingly refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation with a traditional tranquil cottage feel. Located just over half a mile from the hamlet of Slockavullin and two miles from the charming and historic village of Kilmartin, this lovely cottage has a double and a twin bedroom, along with a ground floor shower room. Completing the accommodation is a spacious, traditional kitchen/diner with a beautiful open fire and a cosy sitting room. The front garden slopes down to the burn which trickles past and adds a delightfully calming soundtrack to your stay and there is also a separate lawned area with a bench a few yards along the track with views across to the hills beyond. With superb walking and cycling from your doorstep, this is the ideal cottage from which to explore this beautiful and historic part of Scotland. Enjoy the atmosphere at the local pub, just a couple of miles away in Kilmartin, which serves good quality local produce. Seek out the abundant wildlife including red squirrels, or explore Kilmartin Museum, the famous stone circles at Temple Wood and the surrounding Neolithic and Bronze Age sites and monuments. Alternatively, cycle to Crinan Ferry Beach and enjoy the superb sands and views of Islay and Jura, plus nearby Loch Awe is a haven for anglers, as well as providing amazing scenery.
