This mid-terraced cottage in Scarborough sleeps twelve people in five bedrooms.
This charming cottage is one of a small group of cottages set deep in the countryside on the Yorkshire and Lancashire border. They are surrounded by open farmland which is managed under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme and set in the Forest of Bowland.
The owners are endeavouring to be environmentally friendly by using a wood chip boiler to supply heating and hot water, low enerby light bulbs and all cleaning products are made on site from natural materials for a chemical free environment. Garden produce and free range eggs are available in season.
The owners and their family personally manage the cottages which are all comfortably furnished and have their own patios which merge into fully landscaped gardens. On site there is a games room with table tennis, pool table, full size snooker table, chidlrens games and a 10 x 5m heated indoor swimming pool. For the more energetic there is also an all weather tennis court and six-aside football pitch.
There are lots of things to do in the local area including coarse fishing on Stocks Reservoir, fly fishing on the River Ribble and mountain biking on waymarked trails in the Gisburn Forest. Settle is just seven miles away the Yorkshire Dales are on the doorstep which makes this a very special place to take a country holiday, away from it all.
Ground floor - 1 double bedroom with adjoining shower room with toilet snd basin, lounge, snug, large farmhouse dining kitchen, utility room with toilet, basin and clothes drying cupboard. First floor - 5 bedrooms - 2 double with en-suite shower rooms with toilets, 3 twin, house bathroom with toilet and separate shower cubicle. This cottage is suitable for the elderly and partially infirm.
Living flame gas fire in lounge, full central heating - all fuel and power is included in the rent. Cots, high chairs, 2 colour T.V.s, shaver point, showers, video, CD hi-fi system, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, drying cupboard for outdoor clothes. Payphone. Wi-Fi broadband available in the games room. Bed linen and towels are included. Private patio with furniture and barbecue, and shared gardens. Ample parking. 1 pet by arrangement please, (sheep country), an additional charge of £20 per week for a second pet. Please note the owners will request a security deposit.
