Whimbrel, Wingham

Kent. Sleeps up to 6

Whimbrel is an enchanting cottage situated in the delightful village of Wingham surrounded by lovely countryside close to Canterbury and the charming coastal towns of Deal and Sandwich.  Whimbrel is set back from the High Street in walking distance to all the amenities of the village but in a peaceful setting with a surprisingly large garden.  The Wingham Wildlife Park is within walking distance and Howletts Wild Animal Park is a short drive away.  Wingham is exceptionally blessed with many historic buildings and pubs and there is a regular bus service to the centre of Canterbury and the must-see Cathedral, a designated World Heritage Site. The cottage is full of beams and character and has been decorated thoughtfully in appropriate style with attractive artwork and rugs.  Every nook and cranny has been cunningly utilised for storage  and there are well-placed handles at every junction to help climb the stairs safely.  Shop: 100 yards  Pub: 300 yards  Coast:  7 miles
