The house sits in the grounds of 30 acres of farmland which is predominantly species rich grassland sown to encourage biodiversity.The property features an original waterwheel, which provides a portion of the electricity supply to the house. The hill at Wester Derry offers lovely walks, stunning views and perfect picnic spots in summer and in winter, a super nursery slope for sledging and skiing. The lower fields on the farm run down to the Kilry Burn, which is fun for paddling and beginners brown trout fishing.
